In August 2018, Marriott launched one loyalty program with unified benefits under its 3 legacy loyalty brands – Marriott Rewards, Ritz-Carlton Rewards and SPG. This coming February 13th, the combined programs will become known at Marriott Bonvoy. Upon this date, Marriott Rewards, Ritz-Carlton Rewards and SPG will all officially be retired.
The launch of Marriott Bonvoy will introduce 2 new names for previous Elite Status tier names:
- Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite will replace Platinum Premier Elite for members who surpass 75 annually room nights.
- Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite will replace Platinum Premier Elite w/Ambassador. This top status is earned by travelers who surpass 100 room nights & and spend in excess of $20,000 with Marriott annually.
