The Public and Commercial Services union announced a four-day strike for more than 600 Border Force staff at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) from August 31st to September 3rd. The strike will be followed by two weeks of "industrial action" and will include an overtime ban.
Possible disruptions are expected for travelers coming into the UK at passport checks. The airport commented that contingency plans are in process and that previous strikes of this nature still allowed "passengers to continue to travel smoothly".
