Airline and Airport Website Disruptions After Microsoft Azure Outage

An outage affecting Microsoft Azure on October 29th caused widespread disruptions to multiple airline and airport websites, including London's Heathrow Airport (LHR), Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Air New Zealand

Customers reported being unable to check in for flights, while others lacked the ability to process payments or digital boarding passes. Microsoft has stated that 98% of the cloud services are restored. Residual effects may continue to impact airline and airport websites.
