Southwest Airlines Closes Operations at Four Airports

Southwest Airlines has decided to close operations at four airports as it faces financial fallout from Boeing's delays. Southwest will be pulling out of the following airports later this year:

  • Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport
  • Bellingham International Airport in Washington
  • Cozumel International Airport in Mexico
  • Syracuse Hancock International Airport in New York

Southwest CEO Bob Jordan says they "are reacting and replanning quickly to mitigate the operational and financial impacts while maintaining dependable and reliable flight schedules for our customers."

Cain agents are available to assist any travelers anticipating travel to the above mentioned airports.
