Workers at London Heathrow airport set to strike July 26 & 27

4,000 airport employees operating under 'Unite the Union' at London Heathrow airport are planning a walkout on July 26 & 27 over pay disputes. Staff planning to strike include security guards, engineers, passenger service operatives and passenger service drivers.

A spokesperson for Heathrow airport said they would be implementing contingency plans to ensure the airport remains open and operating safely during this period. However, it is unsure what these plans will include.

Cain has generated reports to determine who has travel plans into/out of London Heathrow these 2 days and will be working to contact them to advise and discuss contingency plans if requested.
