United Changes Checked Bag Fees: Effective August 31

For tickets issued on/after August 31, United Airlines has increased their first and second checked bag fees for Caribbean, Central and North American United and United Express operated flights.

First Bag: Old $25, New: $30
2nd Bag: Old $35, New: $40

Between Mexico and US/PR/VI/Carib/Central America
First Bag: Old $25, New: $30
2nd Bag: no change

Between Canada and US/PR/VI/MX/Carib/Central America
First Bag: Old $25 USD/CAD, New: $30 USD/CAD
2nd Bag: no change

Complimentary first and/or second checked bags will still apply to:

• MileagePlus Premier members and their eligible companions
• Primary cardmembers and companion(s) who purchase tickets using an eligible MileagePlus credit card.
