United Airlines confirmed that it raised by $50 to $200 the change fee on domestic U.S. tickets. In some South American markets, the fee has increased to $300 from $250.
At this point no other airlines have matched this change fee increase, but many analysts anticipate such as airlines continue to look for ways to increase their revenues.
