U.S. Tightens Int'l Travel Protocols & Extends Mask Mandate

Written by Collette Vanderryst | Dec 3, 2021 12:21:22 AM

Beginning the week of December 6, all passengers flying to the US – both citizens/permanent residents (regardless of vaccination status) & non-citizens (must be fully vaccinated to enter the US) – will need to show a negative Covid-19 test performed within one day of departure.

It is not yet clear if the test will need to be a PCR, or if it can be a rapid version.

In addition, the federal mask mandate on flights, trains, and other forms of public transport is now in effect through March 18, 2022.
