U.S. State Department issues Level 4 - Do Not Travel advisory

Today, Thursday March 19, the U.S. State Department issued a Global Level 4 Health Advisory that advises U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19, Coronavirus. The "Level 4 - Do Not Travel" advisory is the most severe warning the government issues.  The full advisory is available here.

U.S. citizens who reside in the United States are advised to arrange for immediate return to the United States where commercial transportation options are available or be prepared to remain overseas for an indefinite period of time. American citizens who live abroad are advised against crossing international borders unless returning to the United States.

Travelers should enroll in STEP – the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, which provides alerts and makes it easier to locate individuals in case of an emergency. 

Cain has generated reporting to determine travelers who are out of the country and is prepared to support their needs to return to the U.S.
