Sweden's aviation tax was introduced in 2018 and charged each passenger between $7 and $49 depending on their destination. Starting July 1st, 2025, the country plans to remove the tax for travelers. "Swedish politicians said that scrapping the tax would reduce airfares, increase demand, and boost the competitiveness of airlines."
