Shooting at Los Angeles Airport (LAX) delays flights
LA Late News:
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – LAX, Los Angeles International Airport, is open today November 1, 2013 after the LAX shooting this morning. LAX flights and travel will be delayed severely, officials said in a news briefing moments ago. The alleged gunman at Los Angeles International Airport today is dead, his name is being withheld.
The shooting began in Terminal Three near Virgin Airways. The shooting erupted in terminal “three and terminal three only”, officials told news. “We have multiple victims who have been shot and transported and we have had other injuries as well in addition to the suspect to himself… I don’t want to give out information that is inconsistent later on.”
LAX is opened. But flights are delayed. Some flights were diverted earlier today. The airport is not a full capacity operation as of noon Pacific Friday. Officials state that their Twitter account @LAX_official has the most up to date information. “We will tell you when we will get back to full operation… but it will be time. It is fair to say that every flight out of LAX today will be significantly delayed.”
