Around 4 am on May 9th, a second equipment outage occurred at Liberty International Airport (EWR). Ongoing travel delays and cancellations are expected.
EWR continues to operate at limited capacity due to air traffic controllers taking a 45-day trauma leave following the first equipment outage on April 28.
