Reagan National Airport Reopens at 11 AM Thursday, January 30th after a plane-helicopter collision

After issuing a ground stop at the Reagan National Airport (DCA), the FAA has reopened the airport.

The ground stop and airport closure were due to a mid-air collision between a regional jet and military helicopter that occurred around 9 PM Wednesday, January 29th.   The plane has been identified as American Eagle Flight 5342.

Travel may be disrupted due to the ongoing rescue efforts and active investigation into this tragedy. Cain agents are available to support travelers who may be impacted.
