As a way to produce more revenue, Lufthansa German Airlines has announced that, beginning September 1, they will assess a $17.50 Distribution Cost Charge ('DCC') fee on all tickets issued through travel agencies and consumer websites (such as orbitz, expedia, etc). This fee is non-refundable even if the ticket is later canceled or refunded.
Lufthansa is the only airline that is implementing the DCC fee at this time.
