Los Angeles International Airport Set To Close Terminal 5 Ahead of 2028 Olympics

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will close Terminal 5 on October 28th as part of its ongoing modernization program in preparation for the 2028 Olympics. This next phase will involve the complete demolition and reconstruction of Terminal 5.

JetBlue services based in Terminal 5 will transfer to Terminal 1, and American Airlines will move to Terminal 4 immediately. Spirit Airlines will move to Terminal 2 on October 29th.

LAX stated the reopening is scheduled for just before the 2028 Olympics.
