A volcano erupted on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland on Tuesday, April 1st. A red aviation alert has been issued, and tourists at the nearby Blue Lagoon and residents of local communities have been evacuated.
The Keflavik Airport (KEF) is fully operational. Flights have not been impacted by recent eruptions and are on schedule.
