Fransiskus Xaverius Seda Airport Closed After Volcanic Eruption in Indonesia

Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in Indonesia erupted on October 15, sending volcanic ash 6.2 miles into the air. Fransiskus Xaverius Seda Airport (MOF) is currently closed due to the ash plume but is expected to reopen on October 16.

Additionally, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) has banned flights near the areas of the Mayon, Bulusan, Kanlaon, and Taal Volcanoes until 9 a.m. on October 17th, citing their continued volcanic activities.
