Americans who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to visit all 27 states of the EU this summer. The European Medicines Agency has approved all three U.S. vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, "enabling free movement and the travel to the European Union,” shared Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission.
The EU has yet to formalize a plan and set a timetable for a restart in travel. EU officials are still discussing a way to “practically and technologically make vaccine certificates from each place broadly readable so that citizens can use them to travel without restrictions”.
Cain will continue to provide updates as the EU releases additional information.
