European Airports Required to Reinforce 100ml Liquid Container Rule

Beginning September 1st, 2024, European Airports will be required to restore the 100ml rule on liquid containers in carry-on luggage.  Although the Explosive Detection Systems for Cabin Baggage (EDSCB) scanners previously loosened this regulation, the European Commission has decided that the 100ml rule will now be “temporarily” reimposed at EU airports.

There are currently no set milestones to waive the current restrictions but Cain will continue to monitor this regulation.
