As of May 15th, customers shopping and booking tickets for travel on or after October 1st, 2025, will see Delta's refreshed product names.
Delta’s seat products will now be classified into the following categories: Delta Main (formerly Main Cabin), Delta Comfort (formerly Delta Comfort+®), Delta First (Formerly First Class), Delta Premium Select, and Delta One.
Travelers will no longer see “Basic Economy” – instead, that base-level fare class has been folded into Delta Main. Delta Main now includes three experience options, allowing travelers to better tailor their journey: Basic, Classic, and Extra.
All other seat products will include “Classic” and “Extra” tiered experiences for greater choice and more customization.
Delta’s new branded seat products will begin flying October 1st for flights originating from the U.S. and Canada. Travelers may see the updated fare names (i.e. Delta Main) if purchasing a ticket between now and September 30th, but the new seat products (i.e. Delta Main Basic, Delta Main Classic, Delta Main Extra) won't be utilized for flights traveling before October 1st.
You can find more information about their plans here.
We will continue to update travelers of any additional changes. Cain agents are available for support as needed.
