The teams at American Airlines and US Airways are working hard to align the travel experience for our customers and integrate our programs, policies and procedures. Both will continue to function as two separate airlines for quite some time.
Though the AAdvantage and Dividend Miles programs will remain independent for now there will be benefits for each other’s members. Beginning January 7, members of both programs will earn and redeem miles when traveling across the combined network. Additionally, Elite members of each airline will enjoy select benefits when flying on either airline, which include First and Business Class check-in, priority security and priority boarding, complimentary access to Preferred Seats, priority baggage delivery and checked bags at no charge, consistent with the current baggage policies for each carrier.
