After requesting a nationwide ground stop of all its flights on October 23rd, Alaska Airlines resumed operations around 11 p.m. PT.
Alaska Airlines experienced an IT outage that impacted its operations and requested a temporary, system-wide ground stop for Alaska and Horizon Air flights until the issue was resolved.
Alaska Airlines stated, "Before heading to the airport, we encourage flyers to check their flight status. A flexible travel policy is in place to support guests as operations return to normal following an IT outage." residual impacts as it will take some time to get overall operations back to normal.
