As of March 31, 2021, Alaska Airlines is the newest member of the Oneworld alliance, cementing the airline’s strategic partnership with American Airlines.

- Alaska’s membership in Oneworld enables American’s corporate travelers to enjoy the Corporate Experience benefits they receive on American when traveling on an Alaska or Alaska affiliate flight.
- Loyalty members with Alaska or American can enjoy many loyalty benefits across both airlines, including the ability to earn and redeem miles on both airlines’ full networks and membership lounge access to both carriers’ networks of over 55 premium lounges.

As part of the partnership, American recently launched nonstop service between Seattle (SEA) and London Heathrow (LHR) and will launch nonstop service between SEA and Bengaluru, India (BLR) in October 2021. Pending government approval, American will also launch nonstop service between SEA and Shanghai, China (PVG).
